Yes you read that correctly I'm giving this first time author a 5 star review of her beautifully heartbreaking love story called Larkin's Letters Why you ask? Because its an absolutely elegantly written story 10% in and I was already cryingAfter a lifetime of being best friends Ryan and Larkin realize they are in love with each other Not just in love but the deep life changing soul soothing love that we all dream of falling in to They complete each others lifeLarkin has passed away and has left Ryan something to see him through his grief Letters she has secretly written to him over the two years that she has been battling cancer Through her letters we relive her struggle with cancer and her fairy tale love affair with Ryan and its undeniably heartbreaking because the whole time you are reading you know that Larkin has passed on and that there will be no growing old together for Ryan and Larkin Larkin's letters ultimately help to heal Ryan but not before the memories they evoke shred his heart all over againLarkin and Ryan's tale is the ultimate love story Not only are these two the very vision of what love should be they are also the best friends that everyone should try to be or hope to have in their life One could only pray to have a friend like Larkin or Ryan and if you are that lucky to have a friend or lover like Larkin or Ryan this book will certainly make you cherish that person This exuisitely written debut novel is one you should not pass up even with the sadness it makes you feel You just can't help feeling what Larkin and Ryan feel for each other and the feelings they have at what is happening to them this novel oozes emotions and that is why it has earned a 5 Star rating from me when a book can make me feel all the emotions as the characters do it deserves 5 StarsGrab yourself a box of tissues a nice drink of some type and find your favorite spot to curl up with Larkin's Letters Oh and since its a debut novel feel free to SPREAD THIS REVIEW AROUND PLEASE

I've been sitting here staring at the screen trying to find the words to describe my reading experience with this book I don't know if it's possible; I don't think words can do it justice Intense? Heartbreaking? Inspirational? Moving? None can adeuately describe the effect this book had on me I promise to do my best though If you have seen the movies A Walk to Remember or PS I Love You and enjoyed them this book is for you Larkin's Letters is a beautifully written story of love and loss Ryan Boone has worked incredibly hard to become a successful actor He has made a name for himself in the film industry and is currently one of the most sought after actors He has everything he could have ever wanted; wealth success fame women you name it Though their lives are worlds apart he has never once forgotten his best friend his lullabye; Larkin Larkin is a nurse at a hospital but her true passion has always been writing Her husband Chris doesn't understand her dreams of becoming a published author and sees it as a hobby than anything The only one who understands her and supports her is Ryan Late at night when Ryan can't sleep he will call Larkin and she will read the manuscript she has been working on until he is able to sleep He could be on the other side of the world but it doesn't matter No matter what Larkin is always there to answer the phone They're bond is like no other It is unbreakable They are and always will be there for each other When Larkin finds out that she has been diagnosed with leukemia she knows that her life will never be the same Some things happen for a reason and maybe there is a light at the end of this grim tunnel Her relationship with Ryan grows stronger as she becomes weaker He becomes her strength when she can't stand He gives her reason to fight this horrifying battle because she knows she won't ever have to fight alone This story is written through Ryan's eyes as he discovers letters that Larkin had written to him during their time together Through these letters we are able to go back in time and see things from Larkin's point of view from the time she was diagnosed leading until she took her last breath All I ask is that you give me today so I can prove to you that I'm your tomorrow They say that when you stare into the eyes of death you finally learn to appreciate and respect the life you have been given Larkin made me see that Our time here on Earth is a gift that should never be taken for granted Our tomorrows are never guaranteed so live today like it is your last

Larkin’s LettersJax Jillian5 stars and lots of cryingI don’t really know how to review this book Its was personal for me in the sense that I watched my 14 year old nephew diagnosed with Leukemia fight for 35 years and come out on top He has a love that stood by him the entire time he was fighting; his story has a happy ending Soon to be 18 he is living his life to the fullest; beating the odds So on that note I will do my best to put what I felt while reading this into words for you This book will break you in every single way possible I don’t know where this wonderful author found the words; if it was from a real story in their own life but the other part that will rip you before you even begin the story is that she dedicates her book to her baby son Ryan Go ahead just start crying now So here goes Larkin and Ryan were best friends since childhood Again just like my nephew and is love They never lost touch even taking different roads to their future There was never a a time they weren’t checking in making time or cherishing what their friendship meant Finally that friendship turned into love As Leukemia does working its evil and poison unknowingly into your body Larkin becomes ill Life crumbles – again personally I know that feeling I know how it feels to get that phone call Tears Scared of the unknown and what fight lies ahead Ryan sacrifices everything to be with Larkin and friendship becomes a love so deep that the heavens are enough to describe it From this point on you might as well just let your heart fall out of your chest The letters there are no words to describe them None The last two will crush you yet put you back together This story should open your soul to something exuisite Take your time with this book Read the letters over and over until you absorb every word Just click it that’s all I can say Thank you Jax for sending this book; I can never repay you for something you gave me but had no idea you were giving Thanks to Tracy my girl – Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets for giving me the honor of review this book for her wonderful blog

I'm not even uite sure where to begin with this book I know I can say this without a doubt if you don't cry when reading this book then you have absolutely no humanity This book really hit home with me because I had a good friend who passed away from cancer shortly after I finished reading this book It was so very difficult to put myself in his wife's place having to mourn and finding a way to move forward in life without him Granted they had two kids together so she really didn't have any other choice She had to keep going and being strong for her boys However no matter how strong you are you always need those around you to lift you up when you stumble and fall Ryan Boone has worked incredibly hard to become a successful actor He has made a name for himself in the film industry and is currently one of the most sought after actors He has everything he could have ever wanted; wealth success fame women you name it Though their lives are worlds apart he has never once forgotten his best friend his lullabye; his LarkinLarkin is a nurse at a hospital but her true passion has always been writing Her husband Chris doesn't understand her dreams of becoming a published author and sees it as a hobby than anything The only one who understands her and supports her is Ryan Late at night when Ryan can't sleep he will call Larkin and she will read the manuscript she has been working on until he is able to sleep He could be on the other side of the world but it doesn't matter No matter what Larkin is always there to answer the phone They're bond is like no other It is unbreakable They are and always will be there for each otherDo you think time can be timeless? Probably anyone you ask would say no I would have said the same thing But these past couple of months I have tried my hardest to turn that answer to the uestion into a yes After all love can be loveless Sensibility can be senseless Morality can be virtueless So then why not? Why can't time be timeless? It's a long shot I know I guess that is why we have memories Our memories are what makes time timeless don't you think? Time is something I think everyone takes for granted It is a gift a privilege Time is something we should mature and care for like it is a child Time isn't just how it is defined above It is also most importantly the best medicine we could ever have And as you continue to read these letters and from here on after I want you to remember one thing TIME HEALS WHAT REASON CANNOT When Larkin finds out that she has been diagnosed with leukemia she knows that her life will never be the same Some things happen for a reason and maybe there is a light at the end of this grim tunnel Her relationship with Ryan grows stronger as she becomes weaker He becomes her strength when she can't stand He gives her reason to fight this horrifying battle because she knows she won't ever have to fight alone If I am not so lucky as to beat this if I don't live promise me that you'll live on for me Promise me you will live the most incredible life meet the most incredible people see the most incredible places and make the most incredible movies And lastly promise me you will stop all this nonsenical dating that you do and fall in love with someone that you can't imagine living without her Life is not incomplete without love Find it catch it hold onto it and never let it goThis story is written through Ryan's eyes as he discovers letters that Larkin had written to him during their time together Through these letters we are able to go back in time and see things from Larkin's point of view from the time she was diagnosed leading until she took her last breath Throughout the letters Larkin focuses on several things time love courage and life Through it all Larkin remains a strong tower and lets go of something that is so very dear to her only to find it to come backstronger and unconditional “Our bond is bottomless timeless and effortless” They say that when you stare into the eyes of death you finally learn to appreciate and respect the life you have been given Larkin made me see that Our time here on Earth is a gift that should never be taken for granted Our tomorrows are never guaranteed so live today like it is your lastAll I ask is that you give me today so I can prove to you that I'm your tomorrowThis superbly written debut novel is one you should not pass up even with the sadness it makes you feel that connection You just can't help feeling what Larkin and Ryan felt for each other and the feelings they have at what is happening to them this novel overflows with emotions and that is why it has earned a 5 Star rating from me when a book can make me feel all the emotions as the characters do it deserves 5 Stars Lynn

Favorite uotes“It had taken a tragedy to make him realize that he not only wanted to show her his world but in fact he had wanted to be her world” “Larkin all I ask is that you give me today so I can prove to you that I am your tomorrow”“In your letters you often ask me why I was so good to you Larkin all I did was love you”My ReviewBooks rarely make me cry and seldom cause me to even tear up I have read the same books that other reviewers claimed they cried the whole way through that had not affected me at all I actually have had the disturbing thought that I may have tipped over into the realm of the dark hearted and completely jaded This issue is no longer a concern as I was freuently moved to tears by this poignant and beautifully crafted love story Although I don’t want to give the impression the book is depressing it is not It is extremely touching expertly crafted and meticulously edited I freuently had a large lump in my throat a tightness in my chest and also noticed I needed to blink away a strange fluid in my eyes on numerous occasions Then it happened I had to stop than a few times to catch my breath until the sobbing passed My precious little husband was extremely alarmed It was an extraordinary experience Congratulations Ms Jillian you have warmed my cold heart I adored the story and truly loved the ending it was very clever and uniue Ingenious even I so hope that is how heaven actually works as if I would have any chance of gaining entrance

I was shocked to find out that this book is Jax Jillian's debut novel This was such a wonderfully written book and I loved every minute of itWe know from the outset of this book that Larkin has passed away The insidious cancer claimed her life even though she fought long and hard with Ryan at her side We meet Ryan suffering through his grief when he finally decides that maybe it's time he reads the letters Larkin wrote to him during her two year struggle with cancer The letters he did not know about until her death; letters she wrote to help him with his grief The story is told from Ryan's present POV and the letters take us back to their past when they were best friends and married to other people They always loved each other just never seemed to figure it out until Larkin is diagnosed with leukemia The way I am feeling right now the way I am missing you I now know that I love you Ryan and I think I always have Love isn't a big enough word to describe this paralyzing feeling that I have for you And right now I don't understand it Maybe one day I will Maybe one day I will be able to let you into my soul so that maybe you can feel how much I love you This is a heartbreaking love story I knew what the outcome was yet I cried buckets for Ryan But despite how sad this story was I found the ending very uplifting I would love to see a seuel from Ms Jillian Anything she writes from here on out I will read I highly recommend this bookI was given a copy in exchange for an honest review

Have your Kleenex ready for this heartbreaking story of love and loss Even though Ryan and Larkin have been friends for life when tragedy happens they soon realize their true love for each other Even though Larkin has passed Ryan still struggles to go on without her With the letters Larkin has left him she helps him heal an be able to move on with his lifeMs Jillian has done a fabulous job of allowing you to get to know the characters This is no easy feat as Larkin has already passed so we only get to know everyone through the letters The love friendship heartache and sadness just makes you feel like you are right there alongside Ryan as he grieves for his wife I was not able to read this book in one sitting because I would read a few letters and then cry and had to put the book down It is not often that a book captures your heart and makes you think about it long after you read the last page but this book will Not only is it about the sadness of losing someone you love but it is also about finding that true love and living every moment you can with themI received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I read this book in one sittingAs I got past the story and onto letter 2 I had to take myself away to my bedroom to continue to read Most of the time I couldn't read out of blurred vision and a need to keep blowing my nose and wiping my tears as they were falling thick and fast down my cheeksIts left me a sniveling wreckThat doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it I didJax Jillian has written this book so true to life this could be a real life drama that anyone can experience or know ofIts taken me several hours to think about what to write for a reviewIs it well written? YesWould I recommend it? Yes especially if you like a tear jerkerI was sat in Ryan's heart as he read those letters as he lived his memories as he looked forward to his future Gutting heart wrenching? Oh yesJust be ready with the tissues

Larkin’s Letters by Jax Jillian just undone me I had to read this story in stages as my heart broke right along with Ryan’s This is a beautiful story about trying to survive the death of the one you love the most They were best friends growing up and remained friends their whole lives What they did not realize it that they loved each other above all others It took a tragedy to open their eyesThe read gets a glimpse of their life together through the letters that Larkin left behind for Ryan While it took me awhile to finish this book a while being about 4 days it was not because I did not like the book I liked it so much that it hit me right in the heart and I ran out of KleenexI give this book 5 stars and kudos for a great book hangover There are no words to say how much this book touched me Great job and I look forward to reading stories from this author maybe less tissues next time?
